Failure to budget time is one of the major problems I see with people trying to make money online.

Sometimes I wonder how all these “experts” in the forums manage to get anything done when they are posting to the forum 100 times a day.

Then these same people claim to not have the time to start their business. Or they complain about having to sit in front of their computer for 12 or more hours a day.

Hell, if you’re going to do that, you might as well get a job.

The reason this happens is people confuse time spent at their computer with time spent WORKING. When you’re sitting at your computer, it’s really easy to get distracted and “lose” hours of time in what seems like a matter of minutes.

Read some forum posts, respond to a few, check your email, check some stats, etc, etc. But before you know it 3 or 4 hours have gone by and you are ready for a break……except you realize you’ve done ZERO actual work.

My advice to you is to avoid the forums for awhile. They are a great place to learn and network, but they can also work against you. Spending hours a day in a forum can kill your productivity.

Have you seen these people online who are saying it’s “too hard” to write an e-book? Then you look at their profile and they’ve posted like 20 times to the forum in a day! So wait a minute…..it’s “too hard” to write an e-book, but you can post to a forum 20 times?

That’s just laziness and lack of focus if you ask me.
